I've stayed in a lot of hotels, many that were very nice and some that cost a LOT. And it was a little bit like being on a cruise ship - one that doesn't move, but gives you a nice water view all the same. No airport hassles or mask-mandated plane rides, no PCR tests or vax passports required. Thanks to my friend who was there visiting family, I discovered a wonderful little world only a 4 hour drive from my home in DFW.

Tulsa, OK would never have been a destination that would have come to mind in planning a vacation in this changed, post-Covid world. I'd have loved to have a spent a week there (or, if not for missing my husband and the pets, a couple of months). This is Indian land - so you won't have much recourse if you are a victim.I'm sorry that I only got to stay there one night. Be careful when walking to/fro the parking lot - have heard of robberies occurring. They are currently building a larger venue for the entertainment side of the business to the back of the casino. There is also an event center on the property (not connected to the casino) that brings in some top names in entertainment.

On the bright side, your players card will give you a lot of discounts at businesses in the area - so be sure to ask for a list of which ones. Be aware, though, you have to use your own money to 'activate' your free play card. Sign up for a players card and you get $5 free play. The gentlemen at the Players Club desk was very friendly and helpful. There are lots of deals and different discount days.

I did notice a sign for 'Sunday Brunch' which was $24.95 and a 'Seafood buffet' for something like $34. Would have been nice if the windows faced the Arkansas River instead of the road in front of the casino. They have a bar that opens out to the casino (very close to the machines), Johnny Rockets (ditto on the closeness to the machines and open to smoke filling in) and then Visions Restaurant at the back of the casino with large windows on all sides. They do have a SMOKE FREE area WAY in the back corner of the casino but it is not very large and you can still smell smoke from the other areas. It wasn't too bad of a smell, but I don't think I'd want to spend hours in that environment. The main area for gambling is mostly SMOKING allowed. It is large enough, but they are building more. If you frequent casinos, you'll probably like River Spirit.
